Brian Bigley,  5th Grade Teacher

Thank you so much for visiting our classroom website. My name is Brian Bigley, and I am proud to be spending my 24th year in education at Forest Vista Elementary. I am also proud to say that I was one of the original faculty members that opened Forest Vista in 1997. The professional, caring, family-like environment has kept me returning year after year.   Forest Vista is a great place to teach and a great place to learn.

24  YEARS AND COUNTING . . .
These pictures reflect many memorable years at Forest Vista Elementary.  Words cannot express how much the teachers, parents, and students have taught ME over this time.  What a journey!

LISD SHINING STARS ★ BRIAN BIGLEY
Lewisville ISD honored me with a "Shining Stars" award in October 2014.  The video team created this short featurette that they broadcast on Facebook and the LISD YouTube channel.  This recognition was indeed a big honor for me, and I am pleased to share it with you.

Families
and the
Forest Vista experience

I treasure the memories I have of working with so many families at Forest Vista Elementary over the years.  It is especially sweet when I have the opportunity to teach siblings.   For instance, I had the pleasure and honor of working with all four Depperschmidt girls (pictured on the left) over the course of 10 years.  Mackenzie (2001-2002), Kennedy (2004-2005), Dawson (2009-2010), and Presley (2010-2011) all spent their 5th grade year in Red, White, and Bigley under my leadership.   In 2012,  Kennedy presented me with a special honor when she publicly recognized/honored me at the Flower Mound High School Evening with the Stars senior ceremony.  I'll never forget these four girls and the many other families that have touched my heart year after year.
